Bringing grunge back.

Simon and Tod, brothers who missed the grunge era in the 90s, found their musical calling later in life. Simon's introduction to grunge came at 18 when he stumbled upon a VHS tape of Alice in Chains Unplugged in New York, a discovery that deeply resonated with him. Passing the torch to his brother Tod, they forged a bond over their shared love for grunge, sustaining their brotherhood even as the genre faded from the spotlight.

‘Soup are the handsomest, best band we’ve heard.’

- Our Moms.

After a successful stint in indie country music with his band The Strumbellas, Simon found himself at a crossroads in his 20s. Together with Tod, they jokingly conceived the idea of forming a grunge band, which soon became a reality with the birth of Soup. Joined by family and friends, Soup embarked on a mission to revive the raw energy and honesty of 90s grunge, fueled by their collective passion and determination to bring the genre back into the mainstream.
